Fly First Class
I just got back from several airline flights. Yikes! Flying is so different and difficult now. Getting through security is a nightmare too.
They even took my toothpaste. what am I going to do? Viciously redecorate the cabin with toothpaste? It’s crazy. then every flight was booked to capacity. I am not kidding. Every seat was full. That makes the flight very uncomfortable. You feel like you can;’t even breathe. It’s ridiculous.
Yes, I had great discount tickets, but was it worth it? No, it’s not. The only way to fly these days is first class. That’s it. Coach and business class make you feel like a bunch of cattle. The airlines have to do what they have to do to get their money, but booking flights to capacity is no way to win friends and influence people. the only way to enjoy your flight these days is in first class. First class gets the cabin service. First class gets the wine, hot towels, full meal service, blankets, and pillows. You name it – it’s in first class.
Remember when you got full mean service in coach? You even got to choose between beef, chicken or a vegetarian mean. Now if any food is offered at all in coach it is probably crackers and cheese and you will pay about $4.00 for it. Seriously, fly first class. Do the work to get good fares and discount airline tickets, but make sure you are doing the work for a discount first class airline ticket.

Very Cheap Airline Tickets
I would like to ask how do people buy cheap airline tickets?
As much as I travel I always find that people buy cheaper tickets then me, is there a trick?
A lot of it is luck. If you’re flexible about travel dates and times, travel at off-peak times and go during the off-season. For example, red-eye (overnight) flights are often cheaper. Also, go during off-season if possible.
For example, fares from where I live (Boston) to Europe during the summer are at least twice as expensive as they are during the winter (with the exception of Christmas). Or, going to Florida during August is far cheaper than in February or March, probably a fraction of the price. This is basically supply and demand – people want to go to Florida when they’re sick of the snow up north and get spring break week to go somewhere, but nobody wants to go in August when it’s hot and humid and hurricane-ridden. Basic supply and demand.
But, I digress. Be as flexible as possible and go when demand is lowest. Keep in mind that these are not always the cheapest flights though. And also keep in mind the total cost of getting to the airport and everything. Off-peak times aside, my best advice is to always buy way before you fly. Booking way in advance saves the most money. So book in advance and stick with you plans and you’ll have the cheapest flight available.
